Creating Sustainable Municipalities in Nova Scotia
Welcome to your online guide to sustainability for municipal governments! This website has been developed to provide Nova Scotia’s 55 municipalities with timely and practical information on energy-efficiency, climate change, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability as it relates to local governments and their communities. It is a place for "municipality-to-municipality" sharing of tools, best practices and events.

Thank You to Infrastructure
Canada for Supporting Sustainable Infrastructure
The Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities, which represents all 55 municipalities in the province, would like to acknowledge Infrastructure
Canada’s Gas Tax Fund to support sustainable infrastructure in
Nova Scotia. The Gas Tax Fund has been instrumental in increasing the capacity of our municipalities to invest in long-term sustainability.
So to Infrastructure
Canada, we say thank you for helping our municipalities plan for more sustainable futures!
